Coorg:Orange County Resort!

After our times by the lake , we moved up to the Orange county resort for two nights.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure about it when we first pulled up. I wanted to go to a place with the beach.... but afer going in I was definitely impressed.
But there’s much to like about the vast acres of land. There are the incredible trees that surround every inch of the property. We particularly liked the green paddy fields that wrapped itself around the

Orange County Resort, Coorg is nestled in the Western Ghats, perched at 800 meters above sea level and set amidst 300 acres of coffee and spice plantations, is one of the India's finest holiday resorts.Bounded by river Cauvery and the Dubare Reserve Forest, this picturesque piece of paradise is one of the most exclusive corporate and family resorts in Coorg, a beautiful, green, hill station in south India.

French Manicure

French manicure is one of the most popular nail polishing style or design available today. It gives a very natural look and is appropriate for all occasions. This pic was taken by my dear friend Ram:)

A French manicure consists of three different steps.
The first step is the base coat which is a light pink or clear polish.
The second step is the white tips.
The third and final step is a top coat that adds a natural looking shine to the nail.

I found this beautiful website that has many many different variations of french manicure here are some of the pics. Click here to visit the web page.

Apple Monsters

My kids like apples but they have to be peeled, cored and diced. Heres a fun way to make em eat the apples the healthy way:) And they sure are fun to make the kids create these apple monsters at a party. This is what My lil chef created for her little brother:).
  • 4 to 6 medium apples
  • Craft sticks
  • Assorted candies

Twist off the apple stems and spear each fruit with a craft stick.
Holding the apple by the stick, use candy to turn it into a monster.

Water colors

Preschoolers love to paint. Painting with watercolors teaches the children to explore the world around them. It enables them to be creative and also to use their imagination to create whatever they want to. If they color the hair red/blue etc... let them. It is their original art.

Fine motor skills are also result of learning fine arts. This is something the kids will enjoy and have loads of fun.......

You can plan your entire lesson plan around these activities or use them to incorporate painting while teaching them. My daughter spends hours painting and coloring and enjoys it the most. This sure is the best way to keep the kids away from the tv. These kits are from the dollar store- they come with the outline and a pack of six colors and a paintbrush. Cheap and fun!

Looking forward to seeing you at the next post bah bhyee

Daffodils William Wordsworth

"Daffodils" (1804)
I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
Tat floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

This is one of my most favourite poems...... it brings back amazing memories of my carefree school days..... Though we all wanted to be adults at that time, it sure was and always will be the most cherished times etched in all our lives. This was one of the beautiful poems that we had to by heart those days..... this is soooo special .... though I hadnt seen daffodils at that time I had envisioned the whole poem and I still have that Image in front of me - the daffodils dancing and swaying beside the lake beneath the trees. This poem intrigued me because, the poet painted a picture of this serene beauty which is etched in me forever without really painting it. What an amazing poet he is..... every time I see these beautiful daffodils I picture the beautiful picture painted with words by this great poet.

This beautiful flower does deserve a beautiful poem. This beautiful flower has a central trumpet which is surrounded floral leaves which is united into a tube. The seeds are black, round and swollen with hard coat. The three outer segments and the three inner segments are petals. Though the poem talks only about the golden yellow daffodils, these flowers come in various colors.

Heres how you grow this beautiful Plant:

  • Buy bulbs that are firm. They should smell and look fresh. Buy your bulbs in the fall, just before you are going to plant them.

  • Plant your daffodils about 4 weeks before the ground freezes. They do best in part sun to part shade, although they also tolerate full sun.

  • Dig a hole or trough three times deeper than the bulbs are wide. Gently place the bulbs in the hole pointy end up.

  • Bury the bulbs either with soil or with a combination of soil and compost.

  • Watch for your daffodils to bloom the following spring. If you choose to fertilize your daffodils, do so after the flowers have finished blooming, to encourage the roots to grow and the bulbs to multiply. Allow the tops to die back naturally after the flowers fade; this too helps provide the plant with the energy it needs to grow and spread.

  • I cant get enough of this beautiful flower.......... Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did....

    God’s ultimate sovereignty

Written to encourage the exiles in Babylon, the book of Daniel reminds God’s people of god’s ultimate control over human history. Daniel, exiled to Babylon while still a young man, rises through the ranks of the royal court to become a trusted adviser to several Babylonian (and Persian) kings. A man of flawless integrity, Daniel also becomes a significant prophet in Israel’s history, recording God’s plan for the rise and fall of several empires, demonstrating God’s plan for the rise and fall of several empires, demonstrating God’s power over human government while protecting those who trust in him.
Daniel begins this book by detailing his life in Babylon and relating the importance of obeying God in all details of life (Da 1). In response to Daniel’s faithfulness, god gives him the ability to interpret one king’s dreams and a mysterious, handwritten message that appears on another kings palace wall (Da 2; 4; 5). Yet even this supernatural skill does not remove Daniel and his friends from situations that test their faith in God (Da 3; 6). The book ends with Daniels visions of God’s power and sovereignty over Gentile nations and with visions of a righteous kingdom that will last forever (Da 7-12).
The many Jews exiled in Babylon feared that God had forgotten them, that he was no longer in control of the swirl of human events. Daniels life and prophecies gave them –and – us –hope and restored faith in the sovereignty of their God. Life may appear to be running out of control, but Daniel’s words assure us that is not the case. God is in control, and we can safely frame our lives on resolute trust in his care.
